On Wednesday October 3rd STPD Officers handled 27 incidents and responded to 5 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute/DUI-Rt 30 at Mt Zion Rd

At 0153 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Rt 30 and the driver was found to be in possession of marijuana that was packaged for sale.  He also admitted to smoking marijuana prior to driving and he was taken to Central Booking for a blood test and arraignment on the charges.

Theft-Sam’s Club, E Market St

At 0830 hours an Officer responded to Sam’s Club for the report of a theft that occurred on 9/26.  An employee advised subjects cut open a locked fence area on the side of the building and took car batteries.

Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St

At 0907 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $415 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was found to have 10 prior convictions for retail theft and taken to MDJ 19-2-01 for arraignment on her 11th offense, a felony.

Theft-Charlotte Russe, Whiteford Rd

At 2000 an Officer met with the victim who reported her iPhone was stolen from Charlotte Russe on 10/2.
