On Wednesday September 5th STPD Officers handled 26 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Fine Wine and Good Spirits, E Market St
At 0950 hours an Officer responded to the business for the report of two retail thefts that occurred recently. An employee advised the same male came into the store on 8/30/18 and 9/4/18 and each time he took an $81 bottle of liquor without paying.
Retail theft-Marshall’s, Whiteford Rd
At 1439 hours an Officer responded to Marshall’s for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female had taken $29 worth of merchandise without paying. She was cited and released.
Theft by deception-First Capital FCU, Eastern Blvd
At 1600 hours an Officer took a report from the victim who advised she had been scammed into buying iTunes gift cards and providing the gift card information to subjects through a social media app.
Theft-Chateau Motel, E Market St
At 1715 hours an Officer responded to the Chateau Motel where the owner reported a subject checked out of his room and took several items that belonged to the motel.
