On Tuesday September 4th STPD Officers handled 30 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
DUI crash/Drug paraphernalia-Rt 30 at Loucks Mill Rd
At 0036 hours Officers responded to Rt 30 for the report of a vehicle accident. The driver of the striking vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI. He was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the hospital for a blood test and then to Central Booking for processing. Charges pending blood test results.
Theft-Greensprings Dr
At 0930 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a theft from a business on Greensprings Dr. The investigation is ongoing.
Hit and Run-Sam’s Club, E Market St
At 1455 hours an Officer met with the victim who reported his vehicle was damaged while it was parked at Sam’s Club on 8/26/18. The investigation is ongoing.
Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St
At 1623 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female had taken $536 worth of merchandise without paying. She was released with charges to be filed.
Theft-Bridlewood Way
At 2130 hours an Officer met with the victim who reported a known subject had stolen items from his apartment. The investigation is ongoing.
