On Sunday September 2nd STPD Officers handled 12 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
DUI/Resisting arrest-Whiteford Rd at Mt Zion Rd
At 0121 hours Officers responded to Mt Zion Rd for the report of an intoxicated subject who had just left a business in a vehicle. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted on Whiteford Rd. The driver was found to be intoxicated and he was taken into custody after a brief foot chase and subsequent struggle. He was transported to Central Booking where he refused a blood test. Charges were completed for several offenses to include his 4th DUI.
Theft-Planet Fitness, Greensprings Dr
At 1348 hours an Officer responded to Planet Fitness and met with the victim who reported her keys were stolen while she was exercising. Further investigation pending review of video surveillance.
Retail theft/Possession of drug paraphernalia-Walmart, E Market St
At 1714 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised she had taken $47 worth of merchandise without paying. She was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and released with charges to be filed.
