On Saturday September 1st STPD Officers handled 30 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
DUI-E Market St
At 0131 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop after observing erratic driving. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI. He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing. Charges were completed due to this being his 3rd DUI.
Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St
At 1426 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female had taken $72 worth of merchandise without paying. She was released with charges to be filed.
Access device fraud-The Deli of Italy, Concord Rd
At 1900 hours an Officer responded to The Deli of Italy and spoke to the victim who reported unauthorized use of a credit card. Suspect information was provided and the investigation is ongoing.
