On Wednesday June 13th STPD Officers handled 36 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft from a vehicle-Village East Apartments, 3400 Eastern Blvd

At 0634 hours an Officer responded to the Village East Apts for a theft report.  The victim advised someone entered her vehicle overnight and took her purse.

Counterfeit currency-McDonald’s, 380 Memory Ln

At 1117 hours an Officer responded to McDonald’s for the report of a subject who attempted to use a counterfeit bill.  The suspect was located nearby and charges are pending further investigation.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1142 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two subjects in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the pair had taken $64 worth of merchandise without paying.  They were released with charges to be filed.

Hit and run-Rt 30 at Loucks Mill Rd

At 1208 hours an Officer met with the victim for a hit and run report.  The victim advised a tan sedan struck his vehicle and left the area going east on Rt 30.

Theft from a vehicle-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1300 hours an Officer met with the victim for a theft report.  The victim advised that on 6/11/18 someone entered her vehicle while it was parked at Walmart and took her purse.

Identity theft-3800 block of Silver Spur Dr

At 1320 hours an Officer met with the victim for an identity theft report.  The victim advised she recently discovered that someone used her information to open a Verizon Wireless account.

Hit and run-Rt 30 at Memory Ln

At 1612 hours an Officer responded to Rt 30 for a hit and run report.  The caller observed a black SUV strike another vehicle and flee the area.  A tag number was obtained for the striking vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.

DUI crash-2800 block of E Market St

At 1729 hours Officers responded to the 2800 block of E Market St for the report of a vehicle accident.  One of the operators was under the influence and had to be revived with Narcan.  He was later arrested for DUI and taken to the hospital for a blood test.  The male was transported to Central Booking and charged due to being a MD resident.

Possession of marijuana-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1807 hours Officers responded to the parking lot of Walmart for the report of a domestic dispute.  Investigation revealed one of the subjects involved was in possession of marijuana.  She was released with charges to be filed.

Theft-Village East Apartments, 3400 Eastern Blvd

At 1830 hours an Officer responded to the Village East Apts for the report of a theft of a bicycle.  The victim advised the bicycle was taken sometime overnight.

DUI-Rt 30 at N Hills Rd

At 2032 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Rt 30.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges were completed due to this being his second DUI offense.
