On Thursday June 14th STPD Officers handled 24 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-Industrial Hwy at Northern Way

At 0028 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Industrial Hwy.  The driver was found to be under the influence and she was taken into custody after a struggle.  She was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  She was charged with DUI and resisting arrest due to this being her second DUI offense.

Theft from a vehicle-1600 block of Long Dr

At 0345 hours Officers responded to Long Dr for the report of two subjects attempting to enter vehicles.  The subjects were located and taken into custody after a foot pursuit.  They were found to be juveniles and one provided false information about his identity.  One male was found to be in possession of items that were stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot.  One male was released to a parent and the other was taken to the Youth Development Center.  Charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 0923 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two females in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the pair had taken $112 in merchandise without paying.  One female was adult and she was cited and the other female was a juvenile and she will be referred to the Youth Aid Panel.

Criminal mischief-3000 block of Mark Dr

At 0945 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Mark Dr for the report of criminal mischief.  The victim advised someone damaged plants and flowers in front of her home.

Identity theft-1300 block of Canterbury Ln

At 1045 hours an Officer met with the victim for an identity theft report.  The victim advised he recently discovered his information had been used to open a Verizon Wireless account.

Burglary-400 block of Maywood Rd

At 1543 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Maywood Rd for a burglary report.  The victim advised someone took items from the home in January of this year.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1704 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $50 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was released with charges to be filed.
