On Friday June 1st STPD Officers handled 32 incidents, investigated 5 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
DUI-Northern Way at E Market St
At 0120 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a violation at this intersection. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI. He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing. Charges were completed due to this being his second DUI offense.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 0920 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female had taken $70 worth of merchandise without paying. She was released with charges to be filed.
Trespassing-Sheetz, 405 Memory Ln
At 1025 hours an Officer responded to Sheetz for a male in the store who was previously banned from the location. He was moved along and employees declined prosecution.
Theft-500 block of Maywood Rd
At 1538 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Maywood Rd for a theft report. The victim advised several males stole a speaker off the front porch.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1615 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier. An employee advised a male took $439 worth of merchandise without paying. He left the area in a blue Toyota Prius.
