On Thursday May 31st STPD Officers handled 27 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, 1244 Greensprings Dr
At 1400 hours an Officer responded to the business for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier. An employee advised a male took $160 worth of merchandise without paying.
Possession of cocaine-US Immigration and Customs Office, 118 Pleasant Acres Rd
At 1415 hours an Officer responded to the US Immigration and Customs Office for the report of a male who was in possession of cocaine. The male was already in custody for an immigration violation and the cocaine was found in his possessions. Charges to be filed.
Retail theft-Gymboree, 2899 Whiteford Rd
At 1620 hours an Officer responded to Gymboree for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier. An employee advised a male and female worked together to take $458 worth of merchandise without paying.
Access device fraud-Brunswick at Longstown, 2830 Carol Rd
At 1735 hours an Officer responded to Brunswick at Longstown for the report of access device fraud. The investigation revealed someone used the victim’s credit card on several occasions without authorization. A suspect was identified and the investigation is ongoing.
Retail theft-Weis Markets, 2400 E Market St
At 1818 hours an Officer responded to Weis Markets for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female took $188 worth of merchandise without paying. She was released with charges to be filed.
