On Thursday May 24th STPD Officers handled 37 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Hit and run-Rt 30 at Loucks Mill Rd

At 0412 hours an Officer responded to this intersection for a hit and run report.  The victim advised a white box truck struck his vehicle and fled eastbound on Rt 30.

Theft-Home Depot, 2905 E Market St

At 0742 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Home Depot for a theft report.  The victim advised a light was taken off a construction vehicle within the past week.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1445 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $41 worth of merchandise without paying.  He was cited and released.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1550 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $57 worth of merchandise without paying.  She had one prior conviction for retail theft and was released with charges to be filed.

Theft-Maple Donuts, 3455 E Market St

At 1657 hours an Officer responded to Maple Donuts for a theft report.  The victim advised that his mountain bike was stolen from the parking lot while he was inside the store.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1630 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 5/18/18.  An employee advised a male was seen on video taking $649 worth of merchandise without paying.  Photos of the male were provided and disseminated for identification assistance.

Criminal mischief-3300 block of Druck Valley Rd

At 1915 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Druck Valley Rd for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The victim advised someone had thrown several large rocks at her vehicle within the past several hours.

Possession of cocaine-2500 block of Eastern Blvd

At 2249 hours an Officer responded to Eastern Blvd for the report of a suspicious person.  A male was located and found to have an arrest warrant.  The male was in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.  He was taken to Central Booking for the warrant and charges will be filed.
