On Tuesday May 22nd STPD Officers handled 29 incidents and responded to 3 alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 0920 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 5/19.  An employee advised a male was seen on video taking $125 worth of merchandise without paying.  He was identified due to his involvement in another retail theft at the store last year and charges will be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1030 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 5/9.  An employee advised a male was seen on video taking $343 worth of merchandise without paying.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft-Super Shoes, 2541 E Market St

At 1050 hours an Officer responded to Super Shoes for the report of a theft that occurred on 5/19.  An employee advised cash was taken from the register.  A suspect was identified and charges will be filed.

Hit and run-Rutters, 1099 Haines Rd

At 1150 hours an Officer responded to Rutters for a hit and run.  The victim advised a dark colored SUV struck his vehicle and then fled the parking lot.

Hit and run-Haines Rd at the N/B I-83 exit

At 1522 hours an Officer responded to Haines Rd for a hit and run.  The victim advised the school transport van she was driving was struck by a primer gray sedan that ran a red light.  The sedan fled the area and there were no injuries reported.

Retail theft-Spencers, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1508 hours an Officer responded to Spencers for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $24 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was released with charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Home Depot, 2905 E Market St

At 1730 hours an Officer responded to Home Depot for the report of a retail theft.  An employee advised a male was seen on video taking $298 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male left the area in a red Volvo.
