On Friday May 18th STPD Officers handled 16 incidents and investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
DUI-Pleasant Valley Rd at Mt Zion Rd
At 0014 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Pleasant Valley Rd. The driver was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI. He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing. Charges pending blood test results.
Retail theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd
At 1136 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for a male in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the male had taken $19 worth of merchandise without paying. He was taken to Central Booking for a warrant and charges will be filed.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1559 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two juveniles in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the pair had taken $14 worth of merchandise without paying. They were cited and turned over to a parent.
Aggravated assault/Strangulation-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd
At 1816 hours an Officer responded to YDC for an assault report. Staff advised one resident choked another resident, resulting in injury. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking where he was charged.
Criminal mischief-Springettsbury Park
At 2330 hours an Officer discovered that someone had marked the walls of the park bathroom with graffiti.
