On Tuesday May 15th STPD Officers handled 33 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

False ID to Law Enforcement-Industrial Hwy at Memory Ln

At 0219 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Memory Ln.  The driver provided false information about her identity and it was later found that she had a suspended drivers license.  Charges to be filed.

Theft-Harbor Freight, 2460 E Market St

At 0850 hours an Officer took a report of a theft that occurred in the store on 5/14.  The victim advised his cell phone was stolen from a shopping cart.

Retail theft-Giant, 2415 E Market St

At 1021 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 5/7.  An employee advised a male had taken $910 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was identified due to his involvement in another retail theft and charges will be filed.

Burglary-Cocoa Hut, 3402 E Market St

At 1407 hours an Officer responded to Cocoa Hut for the report of a burglary that occurred overnight.  An employee advised a subject entered the business while it was closed and removed cash.  The investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-1500 block of N Sherman St

At 1520 hours an Officer responded to N Sherman St for a hit and run report.  Some information on the striking vehicle was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

Simple Assault-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd

At 1709 hours an Officer responded to YDC for an assault report.  The investigation revealed one juvenile resident struck another juvenile resident several times.  Charges to be filed.

Theft-Round the Clock Diner East, 145 Memory Ln

At 2247 hours an Officer responded to the restaurant for the report of a theft.  The victim stated that her cell phone was stolen while she was dining.
