On Saturday May 12th STPD Officers handled 28 incidents and investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Possession of marijuana-2400 block of E Market St
At 0002 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. She was released with charges to be filed.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1040 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male in custody for retail theft. An employee advised he had taken $32 worth of merchandise without paying. He was cited and released.
Hit and run-Ross, 2855 Concord Rd
At 1653 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Ross for a hit and run report. A witness observed a vehicle strike a parked car in the lot and leave the area. A tag number was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.
