On Friday May 11th STPD Officers handled 30 incidents and investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Possession of marijuana/drug paraphernalia-Haines Rd at E Market St

At 0043 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Haines Rd.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  She was released with charges to be filed.

DUI-Northern Way at E Market St

At 0223 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a violation at this intersection.  The driver was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges pending blood test results.

Hit and run-2400 block of Raleigh Dr

At 0800 hours an Officer responded to Raleigh Dr for a hit and run report.  The investigation revealed a tan sedan struck a school bus and left the scene.  The sedan should be missing a side view mirror.

Simple assault/Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1104 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft/assault that just occurred.  An employee advised a female took $42 worth of merchandise without paying and struck the employee when confronted.  The female left the scene but was identified due to a prior incident at Walmart.  Charges to be filed.

Theft-Nefra, 3433 E Market St

At 1152 hours an Officer responded to Nefra for a theft report.  An employee advised someone took a water fountain from the front of the business.

Hit and run-2800 block of E Market St

At 1433 hours an Officer took a report for a hit and run that occurred on E Market St.  The victim advised he was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1622 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised a male and a female had taken $669 worth of merchandise and fled when confronted.  The subjects left the area in a white Dodge Durango and the tag number was obtained.  The investigation is ongoing.
