 On Thursday May 10th STPD Officers handled 30 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI/Possession of marijuana-Mt Zion Rd at Pleasant Valley Rd

At 0000 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Mt Zion Rd.  The driver was found to be under the influence and in possession of a small amount of marijuana.  He was arrested for DUI and transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges pending the results of the blood test.

Theft-1900 block of E Market St

At 0950 hours an Officer took a report of a theft of a lawn mower from the 1900 block of E Market St.  The victim stated that someone had taken the lawn mower from his front yard while he was inside his home.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 0955 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two females in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised they had taken a combined $149 worth of merchandise without paying.  They were both cited and released.

Retail theft-Fine Wine and Good Spirits, 2547 E Market St

At 1405 hours an Officer responded to the business for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier.  A male had been arrested at another Fine Wine and Good Spirits location for retail theft and it was discovered that he had also taken $259 worth of merchandise from this location.  Charges will be filed.

Retail theft-Best Buy, 2865 Concord Rd

At 1636 hours an Officer responded to Best Buy for a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee reported that a male had taken $99 worth of merchandise without paying and left the area.
