On Thursday April 19th STPD Officers handled 30 incidents and investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft of services-2800 block of Whiteford Rd

At 1020 hours an Officer took a report of theft of services.  The victim advised someone had filled his dumpster with a large amount of construction debris without permission.

Hit and run-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1121 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for a hit and run report.  The victim advised someone had struck her van while she was inside shopping.  Video showed a male in a purple Toyota FJ Cruiser had struck the van and fled the area.  Photos of the male were disseminated for identification assistance.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1348 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a juvenile female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $418 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was released to a parent and charges will be filed.

Retail theft/Resisting arrest-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1419 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a male who fled after committing a retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $24 worth of merchandise without paying and fled on foot.  The male was located nearby and fled from the Officer.  He was taken into custody after a struggle and charges will be filed.

Hit and run-Village Green Restaurant, 2300 E Market St

At 1800 hours an Officer took a report for a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot.  The victim advised her vehicle was struck between 1630-1730 hours while she was inside dining.

Theft of services-Texas Roadhouse, 1510 Mt Zion Rd

At 1807 hours an Officer responded to Texas Roadhouse for the report of a male who left without paying his $72 bill.  The male was identified and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1741 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two subjects in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the pair had taken $106 worth of merchandise without paying.  They were released with charges to be filed.

DUI-Industrial Hwy at Memory Ln

At 2136 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Memory Ln.  The driver was found to be under the influence and she was arrested for DUI.  She was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges pending blood test results.

DUI-Northern Way at Eastern Blvd

At 2328 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Memory Ln.  The driver was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges pending blood test results.
