On Monday April 23rd STPD Officers handled 24 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 2 alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Access Device Fraud-Xfinity, 2801 E Market St

At 1330 hours an Officer took a report for access device fraud that occurred on several occasions at the Xfinity store.  It was reported that subjects came into the store and made purchases using false identification and someone else’s credit card information.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1824 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised that he believed a male had taken merchandise and left the store.  The male was a suspect in several other recent retail thefts and he was located found to have taken $990 worth of merchandise.  He was transported to Central Booking for a warrant and charges are pending.

Hit and run-E Market St at Mills St

At 2350 hours an Officer took a report for a hit and run that occurred on E Market St.  The victim advised a vehicle sideswiped his vehicle as he was traveling west on E Market St.  The striking vehicle did not stop and no tag number was obtained.
