On Wednesday April 18th STPD Officers handled 31 incidents, investigated 6 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd
At 1705 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for the report of retail thefts that occurred on 4/15 and 4/16. An employee advised a review of video surveillance showed a male stole items both days and the total loss is $499.
Hit and run-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1840 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for a hit and run report. The victim advised several people witnessed a Chevrolet Impala strike her van in the parking lot. The Chevrolet fled the area but a witness was able to obtain the tag number. The investigation is ongoing.
