On Friday February 23rd STPD Officers handled 30 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Possession of marijuana/drug paraphernalia-E Market St at Memory Ln

At 0055 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Memory Ln.  A passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  She was released with charges to be filed.

DUI crash-2500 block of Mt Rose Ave

At 0640 hours an Officer responded to a single vehicle accident on Mt Rose Ave.  The driver was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  He was transported to the hospital for a blood test and then to Central Booking for processing.  Charges pending blood test results.

Access device fraud-Suburban Park Apartments, Carnegie Rd

At 1245 hours the victim came to the station to make a fraud report.  The victim advised that he recently discovered someone had taken money out of his bank accounts without authorization.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1400 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier.  An employee advised a male had taken $272 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was identified due to his involvement in another retail theft and charges will be filed.

Hit and run-Aldi, 280 Northern Way

At 1605 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Aldi for a hit and run report.  The victim advised her vehicle was struck while she was inside shopping.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2011 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised a male had taken $776 worth of merchandise without paying and fled when confronted.  It was discovered that this was the same male who committed a retail theft reported earlier on this date.  Charges will be filed.
