On Saturday December 30th STPD Officers handled 18 incidents, investigated 5 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Simple assault-Rt 30 at N Sherman St
At 0912 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of an assault. The victim advised that she got into a physical fight with a female at this intersection following a traffic dispute. Information was obtained on the other vehicle involved and the investigation is ongoing.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1935 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female took $48 worth of merchandise without paying. She was cited and transported to Central Booking for several active warrants.
Hit and run-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 2339 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for a hit and run report. The victim advised a silver sedan struck his vehicle and when he asked the other driver for his information, the subject laughed and drove away.
