On Tuesday August 29th STPD Officers handled 32 incidents and investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those reports the following crimes were reported:

Discharging a firearm into an occupied structure-1200 block of Hillside Ct

At 0806 hours Officers responded to a residence on Hillside Ct for the report of bullets that struck the home overnight.  The resident advised this morning she discovered the damage to her home.  Evidence was recovered from the scene indicating several shots were fired at the home and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft from a vehicle-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 0955 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a theft.  The victim advised numerous tools were taken from his unlocked work truck while it was parked in the lot.

At 1140 hours an Officer met with another victim who wanted to report a theft that occurred earlier on this date.  They advised that tools were taken from a work box in the bed of their truck while they were inside shopping.

Theft-Manor Care, 2400 Kingston Ct

At 1201 hours an Officer responded to Manor Care for a theft report.  Employees advised it was recently discovered that some prescription medication had been stolen from a secured storage room.  The investigation is ongoing.

Bad checks-York Volkswagen, 3475 E Market St

At 1300 hours an Officer took reports of two bad checks that were passed at the business in 2016.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft-Rocky Ridge County park, Deininger Rd

At 1350 hours an Officer took a report of a theft of a cell phone.  The victim advised the phone went missing while she was at Rocky Ridge Park within the past week.

Burglary-200 block of Mills St

At 1824 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Mills St for a burglary that was just discovered.  The victim advised someone forced entry into the home while he was at work today.  The investigation is ongoing.
