On Monday August 28th STPD Officers handled 30 incidents and investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Vehicle theft-200 block of Pinehurst Rd
At 0656 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Pinehurst Rd for the report of a stolen vehicle. The victim advised his GMC SUV was stolen from the driveway sometime overnight. It is believed that the vehicle was unlocked and a spare key was inside. The vehicle was later recovered in York City and it appears to have been involved in an accident.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1132 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female had taken $60 worth of items without paying. She was cited for summary retail theft and transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
Theft from a vehicle-Suburban Park Apartments, Carnegie Rd
At 1611 hours an Officer responded to the Suburban Park Apts for a theft report. The victim advised a pair of headphones were taken out of his vehicle while it was parked overnight.
Criminal mischief-Aldi, 280 Northern Way
At 1758 hours an Officer responded to the rear of Aldi for the report of criminal mischief. A witness advised two subjects were writing in recently poured cement. The subjects were located and charges are pending further investigation.
Harassment-2500 block of Kingston Rd
At 1817 hours an Officer responded to a business on Kingston Rd for the report of a disturbance that occurred earlier. An employee advised a female became irate and began harassing employees inside the business. The subject was identified and charges are pending further investigation.
Possession of heroin/drug paraphernalia-Northern Way at E Market St
At 2130 hours Officers responded to the area of this intersection for the report of a female who was driving while her license was suspended and also in possession of heroin. The female was located and a traffic stop was conducted. Heroin and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle and she was transported to Central Booking where charges were completed.
