On Sunday August 27th STPD Officers handled 30 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Criminal mischief-Burger King, 2400 Mt Rose Ave

At 0147 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Burger King for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The victim advised that her vehicle’s tires were slashed while she was in a nearby business.

DUI-Edgewood Rd at Kingston Rd

At 0200 hours an Officer responded to the area of Rt 24 for the report of an erratic driver.  The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted on Edgewood Rd.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated and he was arrested for DUI.  He was taken to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges are pending the blood test results.

Burglary-400 block of Wynwood Rd

At 1249 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Wynwood Rd for the report of a burglary.  The investigation revealed that within the past two days someone broke into the home and caused extensive damage to the interior.  The investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-Northern Way at Wolf Dr

At 1613 hours an Officer responded to the area of Northern Way at Wolf Dr for a hit and run report.  A witness advised a tractor trailer struck a pole at the intersection and then drove to the parking lot of a nearby business.  The tractor trailer was located and the investigation is ongoing.

Possession of marijuana/drug paraphernalia-Rt 30 at N Sherman St

At 2318 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Rt 30.  A passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  He was released with charges to be filed.
