On Saturday April 8th STPD Officers handled 23 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Criminal mischief-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 0010 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The victim advised that two tires on her vehicle were slashed while she was inside the store.

Possession of marijuana-Hambledon Ct

At 0103 Officers responded to Hambledon Ct for the report of subjects using marijuana in a vehicle.  Officers located the vehicle and discovered the occupants were in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

DUI-E Market St at Northern Way

At 0147 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St.  The driver was found to be intoxicated and he was taken to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges pending BAC results.

Theft-Courtyard by Marriott, 2799 Concord Rd

At 1235 hours an Officer responded to the Courtyard by Marriott for the report of a theft.  The victim advised that a handheld gaming system was stolen from a conference room.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1315 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of two males fleeing after committing a retail theft.  The males were located and an employee advised they had taken $61 worth of merchandise without paying.  They males were cited for summary retail theft and released.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1603 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $33 worth of merchandise without paying.  The female was found to have 4 prior convictions for retail theft so she was taken to Central Booking and charged with felony retail theft due to it being her 5th offense.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1730 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two subjects in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised they had taken $79 worth of merchandise without paying.  They were cited for summary retail theft and released.

Retail theft-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1803 hours Officers responded to Lowes for the report of a retail theft.  An employee advised that several subjects had taken $189 worth of merchandise earlier on this date and they were now back at the store.  The subjects were located, identified and released with charges to be filed.

Hit and run-Rutters, 1099 Haines Rd

At 2157 hours an Officer responded to Rutters for a hit and run report.  The victim advised that a blue sedan struck his vehicle in the parking lot and then fled south on Haines Rd.

Theft-Bel Paese, 120 Memory Ln

At 2222 hours an Officer responded to Bel Paese for a theft report.  The victim stated that her cell phone was stolen from the restaurant between 1630 and 2200 hours.
