On Friday April 7th STPD Officers handled 32 incidents, investigated 5 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Possession of drug paraphernalia-Giant Food Store, 2415 E Market St

At 0141 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a suspicious vehicle.  The investigation revealed that the driver and a passenger in the vehicle were in possession of drug paraphernalia.  They were transported to Central Booking and charged due to them each having no fixed address.

Disorderly conduct-Greensprings Family Medicine, 1232 Greensprings Dr

At 1127 hours an Officer responded to Greensprings Family Medicine for the report of a male and female who caused a disturbance in the office.  Witnesses advised the two had used profanity and yelled at employees and other patients.  The two were identified and charges will be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1600 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised a male had taken $1.94 worth of merchandise without paying.

Retail theft-Bon Ton, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1736 an Officer responded to Bon Ton for the report of two females who fled after committing a retail theft.  An employee advised they had taken over $200 worth of merchandise and fled in a Volkswagen Jetta.  A tag was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

DUI crash-Rt 30 at N Hills Rd

At 1959 hours an Officer responded to N Hills Rd for the report of a vehicle accident.  The investigation revealed that one of the operators was under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  The driver was taken to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.

Retail theft-Bon Ton, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 2003 hours an Officer responded to Bon Ton for the report of a juvenile male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $170 worth of merchandise.  The male was released to a guardian and charges will be filed.

Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia-Rt 30 at Memory Ln

At 2320 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Rt 30.  The driver was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  He was released with charges to be filed.
