On Monday February 27th STPD Officers handled 21 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-1500 block of Mt Zion Rd

At 0024 hours an Officer observed a vehicle driving erratically in the parking lot of the police station.  The vehicle left the parking lot and shortly after was located on Mt Zion Rd and a traffic stop was conducted.  The vehicle was damaged and it was discovered to have struck two street signs on Mt Zion Rd.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated and he was arrested for DUI.  He was transported to the hospital for a blood test and then to Central Booking for processing.  Charges were completed due to the driver being an out of state resident.

Retail theft-Target, 2610 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1034 hours an Officer responded to Target for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $83 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was released and will be charged with a misdemeanor due to this being her second offense for retail theft.

Identity theft-2100 block of Fineview Rd

At 1800 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a Comcast account being opened using his personal information.  The victim advised he did not open the account, which was registered to an address in southeastern PA.

Possession of marijuana/drug paraphernalia-Morningside Dr

At 2208 hours Officers responded to a residence on Morningside Dr for the report of people smoking marijuana.  Two subjects were located and found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Charges to be filed.

Harassment-Flamingo Motel, 3600 E Market St

At 2347 hours Officers responded to the Flamingo Motel for the report of a physical domestic dispute.  The investigation revealed a female scratched a male and she will be cited for harassment.
