On Sunday January 29th STPD Officers handled 18 incidents and investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Aggravated assault-2500 block of E Market St
At 0217 hours Officers responded to Memorial Hospital to assist Spring Garden Township Police with a fight/stabbing. Investigation revealed several subjects were involved in a fight in a parking lot behind Perkins Restaurant that resulted in several people being stabbed. The subjects went to Memorial Hospital for treatment. Several people sustained stab wounds and the investigation is ongoing.
Harassment-2500 block of E Market St
At 0930 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of harassment that occurred around 0200 hours in a parking lot behind Perkins Restaurant. The victim advised she got into an argument with her boyfriend and he struck her. The investigation is ongoing and this does not appear to be related to the aggravated assault that occurred in the same area.
