On Saturday January 28th STPD Officers responded to 17 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-Mt Zion Rd at Rt 30

At 0240 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Mt Zion Rd.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence.  He was arrested for DUI and taken to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1426 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $417 in merchandise without paying.  The female was released with charges to be filed.

Overdose/possession of drug paraphernalia-RR Donnelly, 301 Butterfly Commons

At 2018 hours Officers responded to RR Donnelly for the report of a male who was unconscious as the result of a drug overdose.  The male was treated by EMS and drug paraphernalia was located on his person.  Charges will not be filed because under the circumstances the male is immune from prosecution.

Theft-Texas Roadhouse, 1510 Mt Zion Rd

At 2212 hours an Officer responded to the Texas Roadhouse for the report of a theft of a cell phone.  The victim advised her cell phone was stolen by a customer in the restaurant who was later identified.  The cell phone was recovered and the suspect was transported to Central Booking and charged with theft.
