On Monday January 23rd STPD Officers handled 33 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Rutters, 725 Arsenal Rd

At 0007 hours an Officer responded to Rutters for the report of a retail theft where the suspect was no longer on scene.  An employee advised a male had taken $19 worth of merchandise without paying.  The investigation is ongoing.

DUI-E Market St at Northern Way

At 0215 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St.  The driver was found to be intoxicated.  He was transported to the hospital for a blood test and then to Central Booking for processing.  Charges were completed due to this being his second offense.

Theft-American Ash Recycling, 613 Memory Ln

At 1519 hours an Officer responded to American Ash Recycling for the report of a theft.  The victim advised his wallet had been taken from his locker.

Identity theft-2600 block of Hartford Rd

At 1615 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of an identity theft.  The victim recently became aware that someone had used her personal information to open a Sprint cell phone account.  A total of $2900 in charges were made on this account and the investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-Chipotle, 2801 Concord Rd

At 2028 hours an Officer responded to Chipotle for the report of a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot.  The victim advised his vehicle was struck by a white Chevrolet sedan that fled the area.  The victim did provide a tag number for the striking vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-Concord Rd at the York Town Center

At 2120 hours an Officer took a report for a hit and run that occurred on Concord Rd.  The victim advised a blue Hummer struck her vehicle and fled the scene.  The driver was described as a white female 50-60 years of age.  The investigation is ongoing.
