On Tuesday January 24th STPD Officers handled 29 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Theft of services-LJ Allen Tire and Auto, 104 Memory Ln
At 1451 hours an Officer responded to LJ Allen for the report of a theft of services that occurred on 1/18/17. An employee advised a subject brought his vehicle in and refused to pay for work that was done. Charges to be filed.
Retail theft-Lowes, 2449 E Market St
At 1712 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for a subject in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the subject had taken $227 worth of merchandise without paying. The subject was taken to Central Booking and charged with felony retail theft due to this being his third offense.
Theft-3900 block of Stonybrook Rd
At 1911 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Stonybrook Rd for the report of a theft of firearms. The victim advised that within the past month someone had taken 5 firearms from his home. The victim provided the names of several suspects and the investigation is ongoing.
