On Tuesday December 20th STPD Officers handled 15 incidents, investigated 6 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 4 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Turkey Hill, 3690 E Market St

At 0944 hours an Officer responded to Turkey Hill for the report of a theft that occurred on 12/13/16.  An employee advised a male had left the parking lot without paying for $24 worth of gas he had pumped.  The employee provided a tag number for the vehicle.

Theft by deception-Gabriel Brothers, 1226 Greensprings Dr

At 1712 hours an Officer responded to Gabriel Brothers for the report of a female in custody for theft.  An employee advised the female had conducted four fraudulent returns over the past two weeks and received gift cards and/or cash in the amount of $270.  She was identified and found to have an active warrant.  The female was transported to Central Booking for the warrant and charges will be filed for the theft.

Harassment-Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd

At 2056 hours Officers handed the report of a fight in the parking lot of Central High School.  Several subjects struck the victim after a basketball game.  The investigation is ongoing.

Simple assault/Terroristic threats-2500 block of Raleigh Dr

At 2156 hours Officers responded to a residence on Raleigh Dr for the report of a male who was armed with a handgun threatening a family member.  Upon arrival the subject was taken into custody without incident and the handgun was recovered from the scene.  The subject was transported to Central Booking for arraignment on charges of Simple assault and Terroristic threats.

Hit and run-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2251 hours an Officer spoke to the victim about a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot of Walmart.  The victim reported his vehicle was damaged and he provided the striking vehicle’s tag number.  The owner of the striking vehicle was identified and the victim declined prosecution.
