On Monday December 19th STPD Officers handled 21 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Forgery-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1100 hours an Officer met with an employee of Boscovs for the report of subjects using counterfeit $100 bills to purchase items on 12/18/16.  The subjects were apprehended at another Boscovs store in Wyomissing, PA when they tried the same thing.  Charges to be filed.

Hit and run-YTI, 1407 Williams Rd

At 1423 hours an Officer responded to YTI for the report of a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot.  The victim advised her vehicle was struck by a subject in a silver Mitsubishi.  The driver of the Mitsubishi was identified and the victim declined prosecution.

Theft-900 block of S Kershaw St

At 1428 hours an empty USPS box was located in the first block of S Kershaw St.  Contact was made with the person the box was addressed to and it was found the box was delivered earlier on this date and stolen from the porch.  The contents of the box had been removed and the loss was $50.

Criminal mischief-Chateau Motel, 3951 E Market St

At 2142 hours an Officer met with the victim at the Chateau Motel for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The victim advised his vehicle had been damaged by an unknown person while it was parked in the lot.
