On Wednesday December 14th STPD Officers handled 27 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Theft by deception-3800 block of Hearthstone Ct
At 1111 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Hearthstone Ct for the report of a theft that was conducted using a fake Craigslist posting. The victim advised money was wired to a subject in CA to rent a property in DE but she later found out this was a scam.
Firearm violation-Stonybrook Shooting Supplies, 3755 E Market St
At 2100 hours an Officer took a report about a subject submitting false information on a firearm application that occurred at Stonybook Shooting Supplies. A subject provided information on a firearm sale application in 9/16 that was discovered to be false. The investigation is ongoing.
Harassment-3600 block of Pleasant Valley Rd
At 2221 hours Officers responded to a residence on Pleasant Valley Rd for the report of a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed a male had been repeatedly contacting and harassing his estranged wife over the past day with obscene messages despite her telling him to stop all contact. He was taken to Central Booking and charged.
