Daily Report for November 30th, 2016

On Wednesday November 30th STPD Officers handled 17 incidents, investigated 11 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Hit and run-Northern Way at E Market St

At 1114 hours an Officer took a report for a hit and run that occurred when a truck struck a pole at the intersection of E Market St and Northern Way.  The truck did not remain on scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Xfinity, 2801 E Market St

At 1100 hours an employee of Xfinity responded to the station to report a retail theft.  The employee had video of a male taking $299 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was identified and charges will be filed.

Hit and run-Haines Rd at Washington Rd

At 1639 hours an Officer responded to Haines Rd for a hit and run report.  The victim advised his vehicle was rear ended by another vehicle that left the scene without providing his information.  The vehicle’s tag number was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1930 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female took $79 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was cited for summary retail theft and released.
