On Friday November 25th STPD Officers handled 31 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 4 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft of services-3300 block of E Market St

At 0041 hours an Officer responded to E Market St to meet a White Rose taxi driver who wanted to report a theft.  The driver advised a female had gotten a ride to this location and upon their arrival she fled without paying.  The investigation is ongoing.

Found marijuana/drug paraphernalia-Target, 2610 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 0125 hours an Officer responded to Target for the report of found property.  An employee advised a backpack was found abandoned in the parking lot.  When they examined the backpack in an attempt to find the owner they found it contained marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  The backpack was turned over to police.

Attempted theft from vehicles-2800 block of Forrest Ln

At 0626 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Forrest Ln for the report of two vehicles that had been entered overnight.  The victim advised the vehicles were unlocked and someone had gone through the vehicles but nothing was taken.

Vehicle theft/theft of handguns-2900 block of Broxton Ln

At 0658 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Broxton Ln for the report of a vehicle theft.  The victim advised his Ford Expedition was parked in the driveway and was unlocked with the keys inside.  This morning he found the vehicle was gone.  Two handguns were in the vehicle when it was stolen.  The vehicle was entered into NCIC and later on this date it was recovered in York City.  One of the handguns was still in the vehicle but the other was missing.  Investigation to continue.

Theft by deception-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1218 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for the report of a theft by deception.  An employee advised a female conducted a fraudulent return and received a gift card in the amount of $260.  The female provided ID when conducting the return and charges are pending further investigation.

Harassment-Banana Max, 2650 Eastern Blvd

At 1430 hours the victim responded to the station to report harassment that occurred at Banana Max the night before.  The victim advised a known subject was following her around and threatening her.  The investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-Dicks Sporting Goods, 2920 Concord Rd

At 1620 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Dicks Sporting Goods for a hit and run report.  The victim advised her vehicle was struck while parked in the lot between 1430 and 1600 hours.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1635 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a retail theft where the two suspects had fled.  An employee advised two males had taken $242 worth of merchandise without paying.  The males were identified and the investigation is ongoing.
