On Tuesday November 8th STPD Officers handled 45 incidents and investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1341 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $501 worth of merchandise.  The female was released with charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1421 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 11/2/16.  An employee provided video of a male stealing $318 worth of merchandise.  The investigation is ongoing.

DUI crash-Druck Valley Rd at Mt Zion Rd

At 1524 hours an Officer responded to Druck Valley Rd for the report of an accident.  Upon arrival the Officer found one of the vehicle operators was unconscious from an apparent opioid overdose.  The Officer used two doses of Narcan to revive the operator, who was transported to the hospital.  The subject was subsequently transported to Central Booking after a blood test.  DUI charges were completed due to the this being the subject’s 3rd DUI offense.

Retail theft-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1541 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $278 worth of merchandise.  The male was taken to Central Booking and charged because he was not a PA resident.

Theft-Rutter’s, 160 N Hills Rd

At 1830 hours an Officer responded to the Rutter’s for the report of a theft.  Two victims advised they hired a Lyft driver to take them from Maryland to New York.  During the trip they stopped at Rutter’s and the victims went inside.  When they exited they found the driver had left with $300 of their  property still in his vehicle.  The investigation is ongoing.
