On Wednesday August 31st STPD Officers handled 25 incidents, investigated 5 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Harassment by communication-Manor Care, 2400 Kingston Ct

At 1020 hours an Officer responded to Manor Care for the report of threatening phone calls.  An employee advised he had been receiving anonymous phone calls from a male who was making threats towards him.  Investigation to continue.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1003 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $151 worth of merchandise without paying.  The female had one prior conviction for retail theft and she was released with charges to be filed.

Theft from a vehicle-Hampton Inn, 1550 Mt Zion Rd

At 1623 hours an Officer responded to the Hampton Inn for the report of a theft from a vehicle.  The victim advised an iPod was taken out of his unlocked vehicle overnight.
