On Tuesday August 30th STPD Officers handled 49 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Hit and run-Old Orchard Rd at Stonewood Rd

At 1550 hours an Officer responded to Old Orchard Rd for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised a small silver sedan struck his vehicle, resulting in minor damage.  The striking vehicle fled the scene south on Stonewood Rd.

Theft-400 block of Grant Dr

At 1905 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Grant Dr for the report of a theft from a shed.  The victim advised sometime overnight the padlock was cut off his shed door and a gas can was removed.  The gas can was located down the street and was now empty.  Several other empty gas cans were also found and it is unknown who the owners are.

Access device fraud-Rutters, 1099 Haines Rd

At 1958 hours an Officer met the victim at the Rutters on Haines Rd for the report of an access device fraud that occurred on 8/26/16.  The victim advised $200 was taken out of his bank account without his permission.  Video surveillance was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle theft-Hampton Inn, 1550 Mt Zion Rd

At 2111 hours an Officer responded to the Hampton Inn for the report of a vehicle theft.  The victim advised her silver 2007 Pontiac G6 was stolen from the parking lot between 1830-2100 hours.
