On Monday August 29th STPD Officers handled 42 incidents, investigated 6 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 4 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Criminal mischief-200 block of Edgewood Rd

At 0942 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Edgewood Rd for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The victim advised his vehicle had been left unlocked overnight and someone had gone through it but nothing was taken.  There was damage done to the radio and all four tires had been slashed.

Criminal mischief-3000 block of Rex Dr

At 1051 hours the victim responded to the station to report damage that was done to her vehicle overnight on 8/26/16.  An unknown subject had used a sharp object to damage the paint on several panels and the hood of the vehicle.

Hit and run-Oakleigh Dr at Stuart Dr

At 0944 hours an Officer responded to Stuart Dr for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised his vehicle was struck while it was parked along the street.  Possible suspect information was provided and the investigation is ongoing.

Disorderly conduct-York Suburban Middle School, 455 Sundale Dr

At 1315 hours an Officer responded to York Suburban Middle School for the report of a fight between two students.  Charges to be filed.

Theft from a vehicle-3000 block of Dorsett Ln

At 1551 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Dorsett Ln for the report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle that occurred overnight.  The victim reported sunglasses, cash, and a handgun magazine were taken from his vehicle.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2002 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a juvenile female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the juvenile had taken $69 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was released to a parent and will be referred to the Youth Aid Panel.
