On Saturday August 13th STPD Officers handled 38 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Harassment-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd

At 0446 hours an Officer responded to the Youth Development Center for the report of a juvenile resident that struck an employee.  Charges to be filed.

Hit and run-Haines Rd at Mt Rose Ave

At 0930 hours an Officer responded to this area for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised a dark sedan had struck her vehicle on Mt Rose Ave and fled the scene going eastbound.

Theft from vehicle-2800 block of Glen Hollow Rd

At 1300 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Glen Hollow Rd for a report of a theft from a vehicle that occurred overnight on 8/9/16.  The victim advised her vehicle was unlocked and parked in her driveway and someone had entered it and removed $5 in change.

Criminal mischief-Galleria Mall, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1516 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of the Galleria Mall for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The victim advised that someone had scratched his vehicle with a sharp object while he was inside the mall shopping.

Hit and run-Mt Zion Rd at Concord Rd

At 1930 hours the victim met with an Officer to report a hit and run that occurred on 8/12/16.  A witness obtained the tag number of the striking vehicle and the owner was contacted.  Information was exchanged with prosecution being declined.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1957 hours an Officer was dispatched to Walmart for the report of a retail theft where the suspect had fled in a vehicle.  The vehicle was located nearby and the suspect was taken into custody after discovering she had taken $122 worth of merchandise without paying.  The suspect was taken to Central Booking and charged with her 6th offense for retail theft.
