On Friday August 12th STPD Officers handled 39 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Hit and run-Target, 2610 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1020 hours an Officer took a report for a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot of Target.  The victim advised that an unknown vehicle had struck her Audi while she was inside shopping.

Burglary-KM Shower Doors, 2820 Whiteford Rd

At 1245 hours an Officer responded to KM Shower Doors for the report of a burglary that occurred overnight on 8/10/16.  An employee advised the business was entered and $20 was taken.  Investigation to continue.

Theft from vehicle-2800 block of Glen Hollow Rd

At 1320 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Glen Hollow Rd for the report of thefts from two vehicles.  The victim advised that overnight someone entered two unlocked vehicles in their driveway and took $70 worth of coins, cash, and other items.

Identity theft-1600 block of Druck Valley Rd

At 1100 hours an Officer met with the victim who wanted to report that his personal information had been used to open bank accounts in other states.

Theft from vehicle-400 block of Alton Ln

At 1251 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Alton Ln for the report of a theft from vehicle that occurred overnight.  The victim advised someone entered her vehicle and took a bottle of medication and $10 in cash.

Hit and run-100 block of N Findlay St

At 1313 hours an Officer responded to N Findlay St for the report of a hit and run to a vehicle.  The victim advised her vehicle was struck while parked on the street and a neighbor had witnessed the accident.  The owner of the striking vehicle was contacted and information was exchanged with prosecution being declined.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1500 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of two females in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the females had concealed $56 worth of merchandise and were stopped as they left the store.  Both females were identified, cited for summary retail theft and then released.

Forgery-Village East Apartments, 3400 Eastern Blvd

At 1645 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a forgery.  The victim advised a known subject had forged his name on checks and cashed them at a local bank.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft-500 block of Wynwood Rd

At 1907 hours an Officer responded to an address on Wynwood Rd for the report of several items stolen from a trailer overnight on 8/11/16.  The victim advised a trailer was parked behind their residence and left unlocked.  They discovered outdoor power equipment valued at $1050 was taken.

Traffic offense-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2247 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for the report of a small child left unattended in a vehicle.  A 4 yr old child was found by himself in the vehicle.  Contact was made with the child’s mother and charges will be filed.
