On Wednesday August 10th STPD Officers handled 19 incidents, investigated one motor vehicle accident, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Fleeing and eluding-Rt 30 at N Hills Rd

At 0754 hours an Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Dodge SUV that was reported stolen.  The vehicle fled from police and was last seen headed south on N Hills Rd.

Theft from vehicle-Camelot Arms Apartments

At 1230 hours an Officer responded to the Camelot Arms Apts for the report of a theft from a vehicle that occurred two weeks ago.  The victim advised a spare key and two key fobs were taken from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the lot.

Retail theft-Target, 2610 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1349 hours Officers responded to Target for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised a female had taken $12 worth of merchandise and fled when confronted.  She was last seen getting into a tan Ford Explorer.

Theft by deception-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1447 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for the report of two fraudulent returns that were just discovered.  An employee advised he was reviewing video surveillance and discovered a male and a female had conducted the returns on 8/4/16 and 8/6/16.  The total loss was $407.

Simple assault-Pleasant Acres Nursing Home, 118 Pleasant Acres Rd

At 1523 hours an Officer took a report involving an assault between two residents of the Pleasant Acres Nursing Home.  Investigation to continue.

Hit and run-900 block of S Royal St

At 1708 hours an Officer responded to a residence on S Royal St for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised a pick up truck had struck his mailbox and then fled the scene.

Theft by deception-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1741 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for the report of a fraudulent return that occurred on 8/9/16.  An employee advised he was reviewing video surveillance and discovered a male had conducted the return and received a $264 gift card.  The male was identified and charges will be filed.
