On Wednesday October 24th STPD Officers handled 24 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 3 alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-Mt Zion Rd at Pleasant Valley Rd

At 0220 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop and found the driver was under the influence.  He was arrested for DUI and taken to the hospital for a blood test and then to Central Booking for processing.  Charges pending blood test results.

Forgery-Walmart, E Market St

At 1008 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a forged prescription.  A suspect was identified and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St

At 1151 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $27 worth of merchandise and she was released with charges to be filed.

Access device fraud-Walmart/Game Stop, E Market St

At 1410 hours an Officer met with the victim who advised his wallet was taken out of his vehicle yesterday and he recently found two of his credit cards had been used at Walmart and Game Stop.  An unknown subject had charged nearly $4,000 on the cards.  Further investigation pending video review.

Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St

At 1610 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $46 worth of merchandise and she was released with charges to be filed.

DUI-2400 block of Industrial Hwy

At 1723 hours Officers responded to Industrial Hwy for the report of a vehicle that had ran into a portion of a building.  The driver was found to be under the influence and she was taken into custody for DUI.  She was taken to the hospital for a blood test and then admitted for treatment.  Charges to be filed for her 2nd offense of DUI.
