On Friday June 29th STPD Officers handled 43 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-Rt 30 at Eden Rd

At 0130 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Rt 30.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges pending blood test results.

Criminal mischief-100 block of Cropthorne Ln

At 0747 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Cropthorne Ln for a criminal mischief report.  The victim advised that overnight someone had damaged several things outside her residence.

Motor vehicle theft-Jamison Dr

At 0804 an Officer responded to a residence on Jamison Dr for the report of a vehicle theft.  The victim advised her Acura sedan was taken overnight.  The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Possession of drug paraphernalia-E Market St at N Hills Rd

At 0924 hours an Officer spoke to a subject who was soliciting along the roadway.  The subject was found to have active warrants and he was taken into custody.  He was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was transported to Central Booking for the warrant and charges will be filed.

Hit and run-Rite Aid, 3300 E Market St

At 1038 hours an Officer responded to Rite Aid for a hit and run report.  The victim stated her vehicle was struck by a red sedan which left the area without providing any information.

Hit and run-2300 block of E Market St

At 1344 hours an Officer responded to E Market St for a hit and run report.  The victim advised an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle from behind and pushed her into a third vehicle.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1345 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $35 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was released with charges to be filed.

Hit and run-Xfinity, 2801 E Market St

At 1410 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of the Xfinity store for a hit and run.  The victim advised his vehicle was struck in the parking lot.  The investigation is ongoing.

Identity theft-Boscov’s, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1430 hours an Officer took a report for identity theft that occurred at Boscov’s.  The victim reported someone use their personal information to open up credit card accounts.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Weis Market, 2400 E Market St

At 1551 hours an Office responded to Weis Market for the report of two retail thefts that occurred earlier this month.  An employee advised a subject had twice taken merchandise without paying.  He was identified and charges will be filed.

Public drunkenness-El Serrano, 3410 E Market St

At 2019 hours an Officer responded to El Serrano for the report of two intoxicated subjects who were at the restaurant causing a disturbance.  The subjects were located nearby and both were taken into custody and transported to Central Booking where they were cited.

Hit and run-E Market St at Mt Zion Rd

At 2143 hours an Officer responded to E Market St for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised a red truck struck her vehicle and fled the area.

Criminal mischief-2500 block of Crystal Ln

At 2208 hours Officers responded to a residence on Crystal Ln for a criminal mischief report.  The victim advised a known subject had broken a window at his residence.  The victim declined prosecution.
