On Wednesday June 27th STPD Officers handled 28 incidents and responded to 3 alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Attempted burglary-400 block of Grant Dr

At 1030 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Grant Dr for the report of a burglary attempt that occurred overnight.  The victim reported several window screens had been damaged or removed.  Video cameras in the area showed the crime occurred at 0321 hours.  The suspects did not gain entry into the home and nothing was taken.

Retail theft-Giant, 2415 E Market St

At 1528 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised a male took $160 worth of seafood without paying and fled the area on a bicycle.  Video was obtained and photos will be disseminated for help in identifying the suspect.

Theft/Forgery-Member’s 1st FCU, 2415 E Market St

At 1625 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a theft.  The victim advised his paycheck was stolen and someone cashed it without his permission.  The investigation is ongoing.

Burglary/Theft from a vehicle-400 block of Grant Dr

At 1845 hours an Officer met with the victim of another incident that occurred overnight on Grant Dr.  The victim advised subjects entered his open garage and also entered a vehicle that was parked in his driveway.  Items were taken from the garage and the vehicle.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1801 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $10 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was transported to Central Booking and charged with felony retail theft because this was her 4th offense.

Hit and run-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2218 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for a hit and run report.  The caller advised his vehicle was struck while he was inside the store.
