On Tuesday May 8th STPD Officers handled 24 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Public drunkenness-Sheetz, 3998 E Market St
At 0004 hours an Officer responded to Sheetz for the report of a subject acting erratically in the store. The male was found to be under the influence of several substances and he was released to a sober family member with a summary public drunkenness charge to be filed.
Harassment-Central York Middle School-1950 North Hills Rd
At 0750 hours the School Resource Officer took a report for harassment that occurred yesterday. The investigation is ongoing.
Criminal mischief-3800 block of Stonybrook Dr
At 1128 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Stonybrook Dr for the report of criminal mischief. The victim advised someone had shot a vehicle with a pellet gun.
Escape/Resisting arrest-2800 block of E Market St
At 1502 hours Officers responded to the 2800 block of E Market St for the report of a prisoner who had escaped a transport vehicle. A Constable advised that a prisoner jumped out of a vehicle while traveling on the roadway. The prisoner was taken back into custody after a struggle and then transported to Central Booking for arraignment on new charges.
Trespassing-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1636 hours an Officer took a report for trespassing that occurred at Walmart. A subject who had been banned from the store due to prior thefts had returned to the store. Charges to be filed.
