On Friday November 3rd STPD Officers handled 36 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Terroristic threats-Banana Max, 2650 Eastern Blvd
At 0219 hours an Officer responded to Banana Max for the report of threats. The victim advised a known subject had threatened her in the parking lot. The investigation is ongoing.
Vehicle theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 0520 hours an Officer took a report of a vehicle theft. The victim advised that at 0230 hours he picked up a hitchhiker on his way to Walmart. Once at Walmart the victim left the hitchhiker in his vehicle while he went into the store. When the victim came out of the store the vehicle and the hitchhiker were gone. The vehicle was entered into NCIC and it was later recovered in Lancaster County.
Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd
At 1220 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female had taken $93 worth of merchandise without paying. She was cited and released.
Theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1225 hours an Officer met with the victim for a theft report. The victim advised her cell phone was stolen while she was at Walmart on 11/2/17.
Retail theft/Possession of marijuana-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1700 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female had taken $62 worth of merchandise without paying. The female was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. She was released with charges to be filed.
Possession of narcotics/Overdose-Quality Inn, 2600 E Market St
At 2154 hours Officers responded to the Quality Inn with EMS for the report of an overdose. One male was revived with Narcan and transported to the hospital by EMS. Assorted drugs and paraphernalia were recovered from the scene but charges will not be filed due to the overdose immunity law.
