On Sunday October 1st STPD Officers handled 26 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Terroristic threats-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 0001 hours an Officer took a report for threats that were made at Walmart.  A subject reported a male threatened to kill him and the investigation is ongoing.

DUI/Possession of marijuana-E Market St at N Oxford St

At 0210 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St.  The driver was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  A small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.  The driver was transported to Central Booking for processing and he refused a blood test.  Charges to be filed.

Public drunkenness-Giant, 2415 E Market St

At 0351 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of an intoxicated male passed out in a motorized shopping cart.  The male was transported to the hospital for treatment and a citation will be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1336 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a juvenile committing a retail theft.  The juvenile was located and found to be in possession of $23 in stolen merchandise.  He was released to a parent and charges will be filed.

Harassment-Galleria Mall, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1730 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a harassment that occurred at the Galleria Mall.  The victim advised a known subject had struck her.  Charges will be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1614 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two juveniles in custody for retail theft. An employee advised they took $75 worth of merchandise without paying.  They were released to a guardian with charges to be filed.

Possession of drug paraphernalia/Overdose-Rutters, 1099 Haines Rd

At 1612 hours an Officer responded to Rutters for the report of a drug overdose.  A female was found in the bathroom and revived with Narcan.  She was transported to the hospital for treatment and drug paraphernalia was recovered from the scene.  Charges will not be filed due to the overdose immunity law.

Possession of cocaine/Drug paraphernalia-Rutters, 1099 Haines Rd

At 1939 hours an Officer responded to Rutters for the report of a female doing drugs in a vehicle.  The vehicle was located and cocaine and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the scene.  Charges to be filed.

Hit and run-Jayme Dr

At 2159 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Jayme Dr for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised they returned home and found damage to the front of their house.  The striking vehicle left behind some car parts that were identified as belonging to a Mercedes Benz.
