On Sunday September 3rd STPD Officers handled 27 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Fleeing and eluding-E Market St at Northern Way
At 0042 hours an Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle on E Market St after the vehicle committed a traffic violation. The vehicle, an older gray BMW, fled going westbound on E Market St and was not located. Possible suspect information was developed and the investigation is ongoing.
DUI-E Market St at N Harlan St
At 0217 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and she was arrested for DUI. She was transported to Central Booking for a blood test, which she refused. Charges to be filed for her first offense DUI.
Hit and run-300 block of S Findlay St
At 1000 hours an Officer responded to a residence on S Findlay St for a hit and run report. The caller reported the home’s mailbox was run over some time overnight.
Theft-2000 block of City View Dr
At 1104 hours an Officer took a report for a theft of a bicycle from a residence on City View Dr. The victim advised his bicycle was stolen from his carport about a year ago.
Criminal mischief-Game Stop, 2579 E Market St
At 1340 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Game Stop for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The victim advised someone had broken out a window on her vehicle while it was parked.
Criminal mischief-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1840 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The victim advised someone slashed his tire when he was inside shopping.
Possession of marijuana/drug paraphernalia-Laser Alleys, 3905 E Market St
At 2357 hours an Officer located an occupied vehicle to the rear of Laser Alleys. The occupants in the vehicle were in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They were released with charges to be filed.
